Background
Queen’s Wharf, a bustling residential and entertainment hub, faced the risk of sediment buildup in its potable cold water supply. To protect the internal infrastructure and maintain water quality, a reliable filtration solution was necessary.

We worked with both the hydraulic engineers as well as the hydraulic contractor, Axis Plumbing, to design, supply & commission, multiple potable cold water filtration systems.

Objectives

  • Reduce sediment in incoming potable cold water supplies.
  • Automatically filter water to 100 microns without interrupting service flow.
  • Provide a compact and practical solution.

Challenges
Finding a filtration system that could handle the volume and quality of water while fitting within the available space.

Solution
We designed and supplied multiple pre-fabricated skid systems incorporating JUDO automatic self-cleaning screen filters. These filters were capable of removing sediment down to 100 microns, ensuring clean and safe water for the entire precinct.

Outcome
The implementation of the JUDO filters effectively reduced sediment in the potable cold water supply, protecting the internal infrastructure of Queen’s Wharf and maintaining water quality for residents, guests, and visitors.

In Summary
We successfully addressed the sediment reduction challenge at Queen’s Wharf, providing a reliable and efficient filtration solution. The project demonstrated our expertise in designing and implementing customised water treatment systems to meet the specific needs of complex environments.
