CSSD & Endoscopy
Infection control
Patient safety is paramount, and we understand the critical role water quality plays in preventing infection and supporting positive patient outcomes.
Inadequate infection control can have serious consequences, including patient infections and, in severe cases, fatalities. The quality of water used during the reprocessing of Reusable Medical Devices (RMDs) is a key factor in infection prevention, addressing both microbial and chemical risks.
Microbial purity cannot be achieved if water is chemically impure. Nutrients such as ammonia, calcium, phosphate, and iron promote bacterial growth and can lead to staining and spotting on RMDs, creating environments where harmful bacteria can thrive.
Our holistic approach addresses every stage of the decontamination process — from chemical purification through to proactive disinfection procedures — with full traceability. Maintaining water quality compliance is essential in supporting consistent, high‑quality patient care.
A well‑designed and carefully maintained purified water system not only reduces the risk of hospital‑acquired infections, but also improves reprocessing efficiency, helping to minimise surgical delays.
AS5369:2023 Compliance
We adhere rigorously to AS5369:2023 requirements. Our bespoke water treatment solutions are engineered to meet the specific needs of each site, based on detailed analysis of feedwater quality, user demand, and application requirements.
By implementing validated automated disinfection processes to control bacteria and biofilm, we maintain optimal water quality throughout the lifecycle of the system. Critical design protocols are applied to ensure both chemical and microbial compliance, supporting regulatory adherence and patient safety.

Renal Dialysis
Contamination Control
With therapy outcomes focused on improving quality of life for patients undergoing haemodialysis, we recognise the critical importance of every stage in the water purification process.
Haemodialysis patients are exposed to more than 360 litres of water each week, making water purity essential. Any break in the treatment chain can have serious health implications for individuals living with chronic kidney failure.
We tailor solutions for each hospital or renal clinic, designing systems from the building’s point of entry through to every dialysis machine to ensure consistent, compliant water quality.
Purified Water
Our purified water systems utilise a minimum two‑stage filtration process with thermal disinfection to effectively manage chemical and microbial contaminants.
We also recognise the importance of water efficiency without compromising purity. For this reason, we use the HercoPur RO system*, which combines demand‑based control, concentrate recirculation, and concentrate adjustment to maximise water utilisation.
This approach delivers up to a 50% reduction in water consumption compared with conventional RO systems, while maintaining recovery rates above 75%. Our solutions balance sustainability with strict purity requirements.
*The HercoPur RO water purification system is registered with the Australian Regulatory Therapeutic Goods (ARTG 302501)
