Southland Filtration Pty Ltd, in partnership with Netco Pumps and Equipment, has completed the design, supply, and commissioning of a large automatic self-cleaning screen filtration system for the Scottsdale Irrigation Scheme. The system will ensure that cross-catchment spread of noxious gorse seed does not occur during summer distribution.

The irrigation scheme covers the new 9,300ML Camden dam, water will then flow through an 84km pipeline around Scottsdale and the Waterhouse area, including releases to boost flows in the Great Forester River, Hurst Creek, and Brid River for direct take.

The impressive SKAN FMA12414 automatic self-cleaning screen filtration system, selected from our Industrial Water Treatment range, has the following capabilities:

  • Connections – 800mm flanged inlet/outlet
  • Design flow rate – 840L/sec @ 1000kPa
  • Screen aperture – 2mm
  • Screen surface area – >42,600 cm²
  • Height – 3800mm
  • Weight – 3800kg
